Nylon Butt Screws
I have been using nylon butt screws for weight reduction in my cues for years (I was the first to offer these for sale on AZBilliards years ago). They are the standard 3/8-16 flat head (82 degrees) screws, 1" inch long. I recently decided to add 8-32 nylon cap screws to these for even more weight reduction and offer them for sale here in either black or white.
These screws are all DRILLED AND TAPPED by me. They come in handy when you want to reduce weight at the butt end of the cue as the 2 screws together weigh only .07 ounces.
They are also great when a customer expresses interest in using as little metal in a cue as possible. Don't let the material fool you, the bumper connection with them is solid. When tightening the screw into the cue, you do want to use the widest flat screw driver you have on hand. The bumper pictured below is the standard #1 bumper from Atlas.
